WebUpdater

WebUpdater is an official solution from Garmin. It should be used if you need to update the firmware on devices manufactured by this manufacturer. This program makes the process of updating the firmware much easier, as you only need to make a couple of clicks to do so.

Using the program

The WebUpdater utility is designed as a step-by-step wizard. This is very convenient, especially for those users who are not familiar with computer technologies. Launch the program, and then click on the "next" button. You need to do it several times until the application asks you to connect the device to be flashed. Connect the device to your computer. You can do this with a USB cable. After a few seconds it should appear in the operating system. Check the Device Manager, the device must be there. If the computer does not see the device, try restarting the navigator. After reconnection, it should be displayed in the computer and in the program. Once the navigator is detected, the utility will check the developer's database to see if there is any new software for the device. If there is, the application will offer to update the device. The update will take place automatically, so there will be no difficulties. After reflashing the utility will give brief information about the new software version.

Important

Never turn off the computer or disconnect the USB cable. If you do, you may just end up with a brick that is no longer usable. Some models can restart on their own. This is normal, so you should not be frightened. In general, the program gives instructions in Russian, so that the user knows what he can do and what he can not do.
