ViMu

ViMu is an advanced and very handy media player designed for TV set-top boxes and Google TV and Android TV. Allows you to play various video files.

Functionality

Customizing the application does not take a lot of time for the user. Supports optimization for TV screens.

Supported formats

• Music (MP3, ALAC, FLAC)
• Video (MKV, AVI, MP4, DIVX, MOV, FLV, MPTS, WMV, 3GP)
• Graphic (JPEG)

It is worth noting that hardware decoding of clips is performed up to 4K format on TV. The UPnP Renderer option is implemented, as well as a convenient Leanback interface. Support for playing content from the internal memory of the smartphone, USB media and SD cards is implemented. As an add-on, you can use the following servers:

• DLNA;
• WebDav;
• NFS.

Support for surround sound and various audio tracks. You can also optionally enable or disable subtitles.

Note

It should be noted that the software works only with TVs and TV receivers, and playback from portable devices is not possible. If the clips are played without sound, it is highly likely that the device does not support DTS or Dolby. The utility works perfectly with official TV tuners and Google TV and Android TV. As for non-original devices, it supports those with Android operating system version 6.0 and higher. Some TV-boxes made in China, which are defined by the system as tablets, may not work.
