Oracle Client

Oracle Client is an official client (program) that allows you to work in an Oracle database. You access a database that resides on a third-party computer by connecting through a remote server. Use this client and log in to the profile and scan the access and query permissions. In this client, you can work in your own database. This software can be installed on a computer with OS Windows. By logging into this program, you will be able to browse the database using a "file explorer structure" but with a practical interface and shell.

Versions

You can now download this client with "build" 12.0 on the web, but the 11g version is considered much better. Oracle Client 11g is installed in many enterprises and organizations. The software can be installed on computers in which the operating system supports 32 and 64 bit file structure. The main feature of the 32-bit version of the program is support for Toad, SQL Developer and other visualization tools. The x64 version is not suitable for connecting third-party modules.

Installation

When installing this software, you choose the type of installation: Instant Client, Administrator, Runtime and Custom. By installing the client in the first mode, you will be able to work with shared libraries. By specifying Administrator, you will install the Administrator console, which is integrated into the client's additional libraries. In Runtime mode, you install a package of auxiliary utility files for simple processing of the finished database. In Custom mode, you select the building blocks yourself and then install them. Having selected the installation mode, click install and wait for the installer to copy all the files. Full operation of the software is available without installation of auxiliary modules and drivers. Oracle Client also supports operation through the operating system autoload menu.
