Cura

Cura is a popular "slicer", which is suitable for 3D printers and provides preparation for printing three-dimensional products (models). The main advantage of this software is its free distribution and "flexible" customization of printer operation. Cura does not require a license and allows you to create three-dimensional models in G-code. After that you can print it on a 3D printer. Before "transforming" a 3D object into G-code, you zoom in (zoom out), smooth out irregularities, specify convexities and depressions, and make all sorts of changes. You then print the objects on your printer by sending them to the print queue. There aren't many built-in tools that provide modeling in Cura. You can do an "import" of models created previously in another editor into this software. Objects are transferred in OBJ and STL formats. The program has its own database of ready-made profiles with parameters for printers. You can use three-dimensional models of manufacturers of well-known printing devices. Professionals in 3D printing do not use ready-made templates, but make manual adjustment of parameters. In Cura you customize the parameters for printing using ready-made profiles or set your own options. This software allows you to set the boundaries of the field for printing, connection port, if you connect the device to a desktop computer and other settings.
