Ship Info

With this utility you can find out information about most marine vessels and track their location in real time. You can search by ship name or ship number. There is also an option to view current job openings. Ship Info is an application that is a kind of database. Here the user can find out current information about more than three hundred thousand ships. If necessary, you can find out its current location, as well as learn more detailed information about a particular ship. As for the availability of languages, there are six in total. There are translations into English, Russian, Chinese and German.

Search and map

There are two ways to search for a ship in the application:

• By number;
• By name.

Conveniently, the user does not need to know the name of the ship at the moment. He can easily find a ship by its old name. The application takes all data about ships and their location from open sources. There is also a built-in map where you can see where the ship is now. Whether it's standing in port or sailing at sea, it doesn't matter. You'll still see it. The application uses the AIS automatic identification system to determine the location. However, in some cases the data may be updated with a delay. For example, if:

• There's a weak signal;
• The ship has sailed quite far from shore;
• No AIS system has been installed on board;
• The ship is in a place where there are no receivers.

Information

Each board has its own photo as well as basic information. These include: home port, flag, crew information, status and more. In a separate tab "map" user can find out at what speed the ship is moving, as well as its latitude and longitude.

The utility adds directories of various companies and current vacancies for various ships.
