MeeCast TV

MeeCast TV is an Android application that allows you to interact with the Set Top Box digital set-top box. You can stream audio, video and photos from your mobile device to the set-top box.

Broadcasting

The application is focused on streaming video and other content to any TV set to which the STB is connected. The available functionality allows you to quickly organize a broadcast from popular video hosting sites, including Rutube, YouTube, Vimeo and ivi. It is possible to authorize through a personal Google account. You can use any Android device, including SmartBox, to transfer audio, video or photos. There is support for playlists with m3u8 extension.

Remote control

A separate tab provides a remote control that allows you to control the set-top box. The Wi-Fi network is used as a communication channel, so the function will be available only after both devices are connected to the same home network. The screen of the mobile device will display a virtual remote control with the necessary buttons that react to touches and send the corresponding commands to the set-top box. There are quite a lot of functions - volume adjustment, changing channels, broadcast control, navigation through the catalog and so on. The application has a QR code scanner, which extends the functionality. It can be used, for example, for quick access to content by link. A file manager is provided for convenient search of files in catalogs.
