SAS Planet

SAS Planet is a Windows utility that provides the ability to download and view a variety of world maps. The program functionality allows you to create routes for future trips and hikes. There is a distance meter between specified points on the map.

Map collection

When turning on the computer utility for the first time, a person will be offered to specify which maps he wants to install on his PC. In the built-in collection of the program there are the following options:

• Urban;
• Bicycle;
• Historical;
• Automotive;
• Tourist;
• Mountain;
• Water;
• Satellite;
• Topographic;
• Geological.

The user can download additional maps to their device at any time, which were not selected at the first launch. However, downloading content will require an internet connection. After the maps are installed, the user can then use them offline. Depending on the map being viewed, the user can explore different information. For example, city maps have data about working establishments, while tourist maps show sights and hotels.

Toolkit

The user is allowed to use the computer program as a navigator. To do this, the user's device must communicate via GPS. In addition to tracking their current location, the user can plan their travel routes. While viewing any map, the user can disable or enable specific layers. This option is especially useful when it is necessary to check road conditions or weather conditions in the nearby area.
