Avast Clear

InAvast Clear is a Windows application that allows you to remove all traces of antivirus from your operating system. The utility can be useful in a situation where standard removal via the standard control panel does not produce the desired result (for example, in the event of an error). You can also use it if the protection software was originally installed in a different directory.

Launching

The application is portable, all actions are available without installing the application. After launching, the user will be prompted to reboot the PC and use safe mode - this will stop all necessary antivirus processes and get full access to the files for removal. Otherwise, the application may display a message about the inability to block the currently active process (which is logical in the context of general system security) Next, you must explicitly specify the directory where the Avast program was previously installed and select the version. If this information is unknown, it is recommended to simply leave the default value.

Uninstalling

After selecting the desired settings, you need to click the "Uninstall" button to start the process. The application will find all related files, registry entries and other items for removal according to its own pattern. This ensures complete removal, which will avoid conflicts when installing other software. For all changes to take effect, you need to wait for confirmation of the removal and restart the PC again.
