Tftpd32

Tftpd32 is a Windows application that allows you to organize convenient data transfer between two devices. TFTP, Syslog and SNTP servers can be used, and IPv6 protocol is supported. The project is distributed with open source code, which allows experienced users to add new features on their own or use the work of other specialists.

Data transfer

After preliminary configuration, you need to launch the client or server module, depending on the current task. If the TFTP protocol is used for connection, it is necessary to explicitly specify the port number and host. Next, you need to select a file to send to another device. It is possible to specify the required block size. The TFTP standard is based on the older UDP protocol and does not support the authentication mode. However, it provides a sufficient level of security and speed in the process of data packet transmission.

Server configuration

A separate module is responsible for configuring the operation mode of the integrated DHCP server. This component is important and provides automatic distribution of IP addresses within the local network. This eliminates the need to constantly monitor occupied addresses to avoid conflicts between devices. The connected device automatically receives the necessary settings and is immediately integrated into the network infrastructure. The program can act as a syslog server, providing automatic collection of system logs with error reports. At the same time it is possible to explicitly specify a file for saving the archive.
