CHKDSK

CHKDSK is a software for Windows devices. The functionality available in the utility allows you to scan internal and external drives to find problems and fix them. The program is capable of working with any file system, including NTFS.

Scanning media

The first thing a person needs to do is to install the program and enable it. Administrator rights are required. After launching the utility, the main page will appear, showing data about all detected media, including SSD disks and flash drives. Before starting the scan, the user can specify which drives will be scanned by the utility. Scanning of drives is started by clicking on the item called "Scan". After activating this option, the user only has to wait for the end of the scan. It is worth noting that the developers of the utility do not recommend shutting down the laptop or personal computer during the scan. When the scan is finished, the user will see a detailed report. In it, the program notifies the person about all detected malfunctions in the operation of disks and flash drives.

Error correction

If the computer utility detects component malfunctions, the user can correct them. This helps to speed up the functioning of external and internal drives, as well as extend their life. The program eliminates most types of errors. If fixing a damaged area of the media is not possible, the application will allow you to prohibit its use when writing data.
