MapInfo Professional is a Windows application that allows you to edit and create topographic maps. The utility is actively used in road infrastructure design, construction, utilities, and other areas. Various viewing modes are supported, there is integration with external databases. The interface contains a large number of tools for processing, collecting and analyzing data. You can import data from various computer-aided design systems.

Map creation

A set of topographic information is used to create maps of the current terrain. Geocoding support is implemented, which allows you to assign certain coordinates to objects on the map. Supports working with layers, which makes it easier to work with a large number of objects - you can quickly switch between them or temporarily disable certain ones. Additional data can be directly imported from CAD systems. There is a panel with classic drawing tools. It is possible to add text blocks, customize size, font and create informative legends.

Analyzing and processing information

The application uses various formats of data presentation - in tabular or visual form. The platform's capabilities can be extended by integration with popular DBMSs. Experienced users can create their own SQL queries for a data set, get the necessary selection and generate reports. Finished maps can be saved in PDF format or sent for printing.
