Angry IP Scanner

Angry IP Scanner is an open source application for Windows that is a network scanner. With the help of this utility, the client can perform diagnostics of the IP address range to determine the active host. The client is also able to get detailed data about each device and transmit the data of the scan.

Device search

When the utility is launched, you should select a certain network adapter and then set the required IP address range or netmask. You can also export data from a file or generate them randomly. The user can customize the delay parameter and set the maximum number of streams. During the scan, the application will check the number of hosts using the ping command.

Results

Upon completion of the survey, the system will display a list of all devices, with inactive/unavailable devices highlighted in red. To get the most detailed information, select a specific item in the context menu. The utility will allow you to determine the host name, as well as its MAC address and other service characteristics. You can also define the name of the workgroup itself, as well as the login of the current user. You can transfer the results of the scan to a text file.
