Zemax

The Zemax application is designed for designing various optical devices. You can calculate and design complex systems consisting of lenses, glasses, diffraction gratings and other elements. It uses a user-friendly interface and a structured catalog of elements.

Using the program

An extensive catalog of components is integrated into the application, where you can find out the main characteristics and description. A built-in algorithm allows you to quickly calculate the behavior of light rays when passing through complex systems that contain diffraction gratings. At the same time, the interface allows you to visualize how the rays behave in different spectra. Information about light loss under different conditions, the resolution of objects and much more is displayed. The collected data is displayed in a convenient form on the start page of the program.

Functions and features

To display the results, activate the Analysis item; the output can be configured in graphical or text format. A separate function allows you to analyze the available resolution of the assembled module. The Editors tab allows you to activate the editing window. To work with files it is necessary to use the File section. Tools for editing the current version of the scheme are collected in the Tools tab. A separate panel allows you to analyze and calculate radii of curvature, tolerances and other parameters. It is possible to generate a set of reports on the project - the functions are located in the Reports tab.
