DriverScanner

DriverScanner is a Windows application for automatically updating drivers for installed hardware. The program works in automatic mode. Searching, downloading and installation can take place without user involvement. Restore points and backups can be created.

Scanning

At the first launch, the application will offer to scan the system. After the scan, a report with a list of hardware for which new driver versions are available will be displayed. Information about the software version, developer, and the size of the package to be downloaded is displayed. At the same time, the user has the option to select an arbitrary set of devices to update or to activate the download and installation of all updates. It is worth considering that by default a trial version of the program is installed, in which the update mode is blocked. To access all functions, you need to purchase a license key and activate it in the program interface.

Options

There is a built-in scheduler that allows you to set up a schedule to scan all your equipment for updates. You can specify scanning every month, week or day. There is also an option to add the utility to the autoloader section so that it starts when you turn on your PC.

Restore

Before the next upgrade session, you can manually create a new restore point. This will allow you to return to the original settings in case of any problems. Also, do not neglect the function of creating a backup copy of all drivers. This is useful when reinstalling the system. There can be quite a lot of devices, searching for a driver can take quite a long time.
