The Burp Suite program is designed for testing web applications and checking network infrastructure for security. The interface is available in English only, but it is easy to use.

Launching and using the application

The main purpose of the program is to fully test the performance of various applications. It is based on the Java language and is compatible with all versions of operating systems. The installation process is standard, to start the program you need to use a shortcut that appears on the desktop. After launching, the main window will open, in which you need to select Temponary project, to activate the default mode you can use the Use Burp defaults option. The application has a wide range of functionality. In particular, you can collect detailed information about network resources and work with requests. A vulnerability scanning module is built in, which allows you to quickly check a node for advanced threats of various types. After scanning, the user receives a detailed report on all detected problems.

Functionality

By default, a conditionally free version is downloaded, the period of operation is 30 days. To continue working, you need to select a tariff and pay for the corresponding license. The basic version provides the ability to configure proxies. It is possible to change the basic browser settings. To do this, go to the section of the browser that will be used for work, go to the Advanced section and specify the necessary set of parameters for the proxy server. It is possible to track headers and other parameters of requests. This allows you to quickly monitor the current mode of operation and make changes if necessary.
