PROMT

PROMT is a Windows application for fast text translation. It supports a large number of languages and has built-in dictionaries. It can be used both for reading foreign literature and for friendly conversation over the network. Integration with other applications is provided. This allows you to access the functionality directly through an email service or reading program.

Translation

After launching the program, no additional configuration is required. It is enough to insert the text in the required field or select a file. The source language is automatically recognized. For a more accurate translation, you can additionally specify a suitable topic:

• social resources;
• transportation;
• medical field;
• aviation;
• business correspondence;
• and so on.

A module is built in to play back any part of the text. This allows you to immediately learn the correct pronunciation. It is worth considering that this feature requires a network connection, because an external server is used for data processing.

Dictionary

A separate tab contains available dictionaries. The search window allows you to quickly find the translation of the desired phrase, see usage examples, learn the pronunciation and much more. The search history is saved, which allows you to quickly return to the desired word.

Plugin

The program includes a convenient PROMT module that allows you to get a translation without starting the main program. To do this, just select the desired set of words in a third-party program and press Ctrl twice. A panel with the source phrase, translation and additional information will be activated.
