Qucs

Qucs is a Windows application for creating and investigating electrical circuits. The simulator allows you to model and test circuit circuits of different levels of complexity. In the process of modeling you can use direct and alternating current, connect virtual devices and use other tools. The main work is carried out in the visual constructor mode.

Creating a circuit

After creating a new project, an empty workspace opens, to which you need to successively transfer components from the catalog. Then you can customize them and connect them to other elements, forming the desired circuit. After creating a logic block, you can immediately check its operability. The built-in catalog is divided into convenient categories and contains the following types of radio components:

• resistors;
• thyristors;
• power supplies;
• transistors;
• switches;
• and others.

Each added element has its own set of settings, displayed in a separate panel after selecting the node. You can add service markers and explanatory captions.

Modeling

After completing the circuit assembly, you can initiate calculations of the main parameters. The functions of creating filters, forming transmission lines and others are built in. After checking, a convenient report is displayed. The process of simulating the real operation of analog circuits is performed through the command line. At this stage, the circuit is also automatically checked for various errors. The final report contains the output data and all detected errors.
