PowerISO

PowerISO is a Windows application that allows you to work with images and virtual drives. A large number of formats are supported. You can create new images as well as burn them. Encryption and image editing modes are available.

Recording

After opening the application, you can create a new project and write files to a suitable medium. To do this, just specify the path to the directory with data and confirm the operation. All file types are supported. In the parameters there is a possibility of integration with the context menu. This will allow you to proceed to the creation of a new image directly through the standard explorer. A separate panel is intended for creating bootable drives. Currently, this mode is relevant, since USB sticks are often used at the stage of system reinstallation. The application will automatically detect the type of boot record and other parameters that allow you to prepare the drive for the installation of the operating system.

Virtual drive

The program allows you to quickly mount an image into a virtual drive. This can be used if your PC does not have a physical module for working with optical disks. Nowadays, there are more and more such computers. There is a built-in image editor that allows direct access to the file structure. This eliminates the need to mount the disk or use third-party programs to extract data. You can add a password to protect important data. A function of forced erasing of files from rewritable disks is provided.
