Metashape

Metashape is a Windows application for creating 3D objects based on a set of classic photos. The built-in algorithm automatically determines common control points and forms the desired object, preserving the proportions. Polygons are used to form the surface. Editing tools are built in. The finished project can be exported to various formats.

Construction

The initial stage involves uploading photos of the desired object, at least from two different angles. After processing, a three-dimensional model is formed. There is a function of adding coordinates, which allows you to further integrate the object into mapping systems.

Editing

While working, the application allows you to delete individual details or frames. Filters and additional tools for photo processing are built in. In particular, it is possible to set the same level of sharpness for all images. This is necessary to improve the accuracy of further processing. Reference points can be set manually, which ensures the preservation of proportions. They can also be used to calculate the volume or area of an object or individual parts. When finished, you can export the object for transfer to another CAD system. A large number of formats are supported. If you encounter difficulties, you can refer to the help section.
