ContaCam

ContaCam is a Windows application for viewing live broadcasts from video surveillance cameras. It supports scheduled recording and receiving messages about events in the frame. It is possible to connect to an FTP server to download video to an external computer.

Connection

After installing and running the utility, you need to add new cameras in the interface. It is enough to specify the protocol and IP. In most cases, a correct password and username are additionally requested to access the web interface of the device. This is necessary to ensure the security of the network infrastructure.

Broadcasts

You can change the viewing mode - expand one camera to the whole screen or display the required number of thumbnails. Quick screenshots can be created. Video recording can be activated manually or a schedule can be set. You can use this feature if you need to use different settings during daytime and nighttime. Integration with Plate Recognizer platform allows you to organize license plate recognition. It supports connection of external sensors of different types and customization of actions when they are triggered. For example, you can activate a third-party application or send a message to mail when a motion sensor is triggered. If the camera provides this function, you can record ambient sound. The built-in FTP server allows you to automatically send recordings to an external server. This allows you to organize a secure storage for video archive.
