QCAD

QCAD is a Windows application for creating schematics and drawings. The project is open source and provides all the necessary tools. Export of finished files is performed in DXF format.

Drawing

After opening the program, the main working area is displayed. In the left part there is a panel with drawing tools. You can add lines, simple geometric shapes and other objects. The application allows you to create building plans, detail drawings, generate diagrams. For convenient positioning, you can add a grid of arbitrary size and bind elements to it. This simplifies work on large projects. There is a structured catalog with over 4 thousand parts. The main work is carried out in the format of a visual constructor. After selecting the desired object, you need to place it on the workspace, and then customize its basic properties and connection with other elements.

Scenarios

A programming language is integrated, which allows you to add scripts for automation. This allows you to simplify the execution of typical operations. You can create macros yourself or use the work of other users. Work via the command line is also supported. This mode is recommended only for experienced users.

Export

After creating a project, you should select the file format and basic settings. All major extensions are supported, including PDF, DXF and SVG. It is also possible to convert the scheme to a graphic format.
