AVG Secure VPN

AVG Secure VPN application allows you to provide the necessary level of privacy while working online. It uses a user-friendly interface that is not overloaded with settings. For data protection, encryption based on modern algorithms is implemented.

Installation and use

The application is installed as standard, no additional settings are required. A shortcut on the desktop is used to launch it. The main panel displays the current status and a special switch for changing it. This is enough to enable VPN and activate the anonymity mode.

Functions and main features

Using an intermediate network node allows you to securely hide the real IP address and current geolocation. The menu at the bottom of the window allows you to specify an arbitrary country for the intermediate server. There are quite a lot of them in the list. This function can be used if you need to access a service that works only in certain countries. For the final resource, all requests will come from the intermediate service, which provides the change of location and address. Additional settings can be found in the corresponding menu item. It is possible to activate VPN when connecting to the network through a certain interface, for example, a wireless Wi-Fi module. Encryption mode provides additional protection for data in the process of transmission over the network. Even if an attacker manages to compromise the channel, he will not be able to decrypt the information.
