PC Tools Firewall Plus

PC Tools Firewall Plus is a Windows application for network threat protection and packet filtering. The firewall allows you to block certain applications from accessing the network. You can use ready-made schemes with different security levels for customization.

Protection

After activation, the application automatically inspects all network traffic and detects suspicious activity. The built-in log allows you to see all events and blocked packets. All necessary information is added, including time, source and port. If necessary, you can immediately block or unblock a process if a rule has worked incorrectly. A separate panel allows you to create your own rules of blocking or access permissions. You need to select an executable file or process from the list, and then specify the direction and protocol. It is possible to configure packet reception and sending separately. For additional protection, you can activate a password to access the program settings. There is a function of automatic detection and blocking of processes that make attempts to bypass the established rules. Many viruses and spyware programs communicate with control servers during their activity, which allows them to be detected by this type of software.

Statistics

The application allows you to find out the total amount of information received and transmitted. It is possible to display statistics by application, which allows you to identify the most active processes. The internal log can be exported to an external file for analysis.
