myAC

The myAC application is a module for fighting cheaters on game servers. Some services include it in the category of mandatory installation - if the absence of it is detected, the connection is blocked.

Usage

The module is used for game projects based on the Half-Life platform and simplifies user administration. When third-party activity is detected, access to the server is automatically blocked. The application is installed according to the standard scheme and launched before the game. No additional settings are required, a panel with the inscription Connected to myAC.Server is used as a work marker. Third-party utilities to get advantages in the game are used by many players. You can improve marksmanship, get information about the movement of opponents and so on. This greatly disrupts the balance of the game, other players become uncomfortable to play. Therefore, administrators take active measures to suppress this mode of passing. In most cases, the most stringent measures are taken in relation to the user - a full ban for a certain period.

Possible problems

It is important to run the application before starting the game, otherwise the scanning stage will not be passed. In some cases, antiviruses may detect the component as suspicious. In this case, just go to the settings and add the utility to the exceptions. If you use a licensed version, you must first launch the Steam client. If the message "Please update CS" appears, you will need to update the game to solve the problem. Launching in Vista OS must be done with administrator rights (through the context menu).
