IObit Protected Folder is a Windows application that allows you to protect your important files. You can securely hide folders in Explorer, set read, write and move protection.

Customization

At the first startup, the user needs to specify a password that will be required to access files. It is important to specify a fairly complex set of characters. Next, it is necessary to specify the data to be protected. This can be individual files or directories. All the necessary items are specified through a convenient explorer. It is possible to select the type of restriction. You can hide files or block certain actions - moving, reading, and so on. This mode also allows you to protect content from virus attacks, since there will be no opportunity to introduce malicious code.

Exceptions

Hiding some files may have a negative impact on system operation. Such items are initially included in the exclusion list. However, the user still has the option to edit it himself or reset the parameters to default values. It is recommended not to change these parameters unless absolutely necessary, because such changes in system files may negatively affect the system operation.
