Measure is an Android application for measuring distances and dimensions of various objects. In the settings you can select the units of measurement.

The utility uses the principle of virtual roulette. This allows you to make measurements with sufficient accuracy. For example, you can find out the height of a room, the dimensions of a carpet or a painting. Metric and inch units are supported. Switching can be done directly in the measurement process. To work correctly in the program, you must first provide permission to access the camera and file system. During operation, the application receives information from the camera and sensors, using it for calculations. It is necessary to point the camera at the desired object and make a few movements. This will allow the program to analyze the environment and highlight flat surfaces, for example, a wall or a cabinet. Next, you need to select the desired tool from the list and activate it by dragging it on the screen. The program will automatically display the measurement results. It is possible to save the result together with the measurements and a photo.

Customization

The functionality of the program is implemented through augmented reality technology. It is possible to switch to a display with higher accuracy, e.g. for measuring furniture. Two types of measurements are supported - metric and imperial. A special switch allows you to select centimeters, meters, inches or feet. Note that this type of measurement can be inaccurate for certain reasons. However, for everyday tasks, accuracy is often not required.
