NOMO

The NOMO utility for Android is designed for taking photos. The program imitates the functioning of some film cameras and provides the ability to take photos with immediate application of vintage effects on them. This eliminates the need for further processing. Photos taken with NOMO look just like those taken with an old film camera.

Subscription

Only three analog cameras are available for free in the utility. The others must be purchased from the store inside the app. Access to them is available on a paid basis or after purchasing a Pro account. The duration of the free trial period is one week.

Permissions

The app asks for permissions to access the camera, the mobile device's internal memory, and its location.

Cameras

At the start, the program offers the use of FR2, Kodak Toy K and Fijifilm Instax mini 25 cameras. In addition, a simulation of the 2007 iPhone camera is available. All other analog cameras of different brands, including Polaroid, Nikkon, Lomo, Ricoh, Olympus, AGFA, are available only for a fee. The utility simulates the functioning of more than forty analog cameras, and their list is constantly expanding.

Photo shooting process

Photo shooting looks as if the user is holding the corresponding camera in his hands. The application imitates its appearance, the sounds it makes, as well as the location of the viewfinder and buttons. The resulting photos look as if they were taken on a 35-millimeter-wide film. Various vintage effects (grain, scratches, blurs, etc.) are randomly applied to them. As a result, the photos are given a retro look. A separate directory in the memory of the mobile device is used to save the finished photo frames.
