MeowTalk

MeowTalk is an Android app that allows you to interpret cat speech to translate it into human language. You can quickly find out what the pet wants at the moment. Access to a microphone is required to work.

Translation

The utility was developed by Javier Sanchez, a former Amazon engineer. A simple interface and a minimal amount of customization is used. The user only needs to record the meow with a microphone and get a literal translation. Previously, experts managed to find out that cats use nine different ways of meowing, with each of them indicating a certain need. Within the framework of the study, the main features of the manifestation of needs were studied. The utility and allows you to quickly recognize the type of sounds based on the initial data set. The program allows you to form your own dictionary and manually add new words. To do this, it is enough to make a record and add a transcript. All the necessary tools for editing are provided, it is possible to select a sorting mode.

Usage

Pressing the large button in the center of the screen activates recording. Releasing it initiates the transcription of the received data. Recognition is performed quite quickly, the result is displayed on the screen - expression of dissatisfaction, greeting, demonstrations of love and so on. The help section contains a description of the program, features of operation and a selection of useful materials.
