SoftEther VPN

SoftEther VPN is a special software that allows you to connect to other servers using proxy (virtual network - VPN). The client program connects to the server and accesses the Internet through it.

Functionality

It has a client part (the program itself) and a server part, through which the connection with individual servers takes place, works with all known data transfer protocols, which are used by equally popular client-server programs. SoftEther VPN helps in bypassing restrictions on access to resources from certain IP addresses by using proxy servers that have a completely different address of another country. Therefore, a user using this program can access any resource blocked in his country (social network, separate site, hosting, etc.) using a different network address from his computer. The program is able to change the network address only once, so to get access to a blocked resource, you need to determine exactly from which country this resource will be available. To find out, you can check with the help of special sites (which also use proxies to access resources) from which country this site will be available to the user in full mode. The application itself cannot be used for the PC user as a full anonymizer and does not allow to fully protect the computer from network attacks and does not provide full protection from access to personal data, a hacker will be able to get to the user's PC. In early versions of this function was implemented to provide more complete protection, but further, the developers removed it and it is absent in the latest versions of this program.
