Description
This original product from Intel is designed to automate the increase of the frequency of operation of cores, as well as monitoring the operation of cores of Intel i3, Intel i5 and Intel i7 processors. Intel Turbo Boost (ITB) is a unique solution for realizing control and monitoring of Intel processor cores in the background mode. This utility functions by activating the ITB item in the BIOS firmware settings, without this condition the program will not be able to fulfill its purpose. It's worth noting that Intel Turbo Boost utility works only with processors supporting ITB technology, which have been released by the company since 2008. These are Intel i3, Intel i5 and Intel i7 processors, which replaced the earlier Intel Core 2 Duo processors.
Advantages
The principle of ITB technology operation is reduced to the fact that the clock frequency of processor cores is increased within the acceptable limits in automatic mode. The maximum values are calculated from the characteristics of the equipment, which are declared by the manufacturer. These are temperature and input voltage values. Initially, early versions of the ITB utility were designed for applications that were not optimized to run on processors with multiple cores. Today, however, fresh versions of ITB are designed to provide a boost in speed for various programs that support multi-threaded environments. ITB is a technology when the processor "self-overclocks". AMD has similar technological solutions. The central processor of this manufacturer is "self-overclocked" by approximately the same principle as ITB, but working on AMD Turbo Core technology.About Intel Turbo Boost program
ITB is a simple utility that doesn't require installing additional software for its functioning. The only program supplied by the manufacturer is only for monitoring the CPU state.ITB main features
- Correctly and safely overclocks CPU performance;
- this technology is supported only by the latest i3, i5 and i7 processors;
- provides a significant performance boost for applications not optimized for multi-core processors;
- is pre-installed in the BIOS by the manufacturer itself and does not require any third-party applications for correct operation.
