Description

3ds Max - a system of three-dimensional modeling, acting as the most powerful in terms of capabilities and functionality. Like many other products created by the developer Autodesk, the utility is designed for use by professionals. With the help of it create 3D-graphics, which is shown to us in Hollywood blockbusters, as well as in video games belonging to the class AAA. Therefore, beginners are not recommended to use this environment, as it is extremely difficult to master. Despite all the functionality, the cost of the license is also not too democratic. In the system, you can perform modeling with reliance on lump meshes, splines and standard parametric objects. Here you can create not only 3D models, but also three-dimensional animation. The environment is equipped with many scene parameters. User will be able to adjust the light sources, make the shadows as realistic as possible, pick up the camera spans and viewpoints. In other words, the functionality of the software will allow you to realize any of your ideas. The software has a built-in physics engine called Reactor, created by Havok. It provides correct behavior of soft bodies and tissue. In addition, you can find the Hair&Fur engine, which allows you to process objects with similar physical properties: hair, wool and grass. The program supports work with complex particle systems (Particle Systems) and many rendering parameters. As for the latter, 3ds Max has several built-in visualization tools

Main options

  • you can create complex animations and 3D objects;
  • has a modern modeling toolkit as well as a material editor;
  • allows modeling with different methods;
  • there are many scene parameters;
  • a built-in physics engine that allows you to work with hair and wool;
  • there are tools that allow you to work with particle systems;
  • the program is closely connected with Character Animation Toolkit (abbreviated as CAT);
  • several rendering systems are built into the software, but you can work with third-party systems as well;
  • the interface can be scaled and customized at will;
  • the license is very expensive.
