QR Scanner

QR Scanner is a mobile client for scanning barcodes using the main camera of a handheld device. All-in-one scanner and reader application: scans all 1D and 2D codes, including most QR and barcodes. The utility is distributed for free and supports installation on portable Android devices.

Getting Started

At the first launch, the software will ask the user for quite a large number of permissions that must be granted, otherwise the main functionality will not work correctly. First of all, the application must gain access to the device's camera. You will also need access to the "Gallery" and other multimedia files that are stored in the memory of the portable device. The utility also asks for permission to make voice calls, manage them and directly to the "Phonebook". All these permissions are required, otherwise you can not fully use QR Scanner.

Functionality

There is nothing complicated in the management of the utility and even a beginner can cope with it. After the launch the image from the main camera will appear on the screen, it's worth noting that no actions will be required from the user. When pointing the camera of the device at any QR code, the application will provide the available information about it:

• format;
• type;
• time;
• additional product details.

The application provides buttons to search for similar products or get barcode details. These buttons redirect to the web browser which is set to "Default".
