IKEA Place is an application for Android devices, which was developed by the global network of furniture stores, now the user can see in advance how this or that product will look in his home, using the camera of his phone, everything will be visible on the screen.

This application allows you to select furniture and place for it in the rooms of your own home, trying on products from the catalog of the store. The user receives a 3D model of the desired furniture, whether it is a chair, table or sofa, or a nightstand, which looks the same as it will look in reality. To use this app, there should be good lighting in the room. Also on the floor should not be cluttered, otherwise the program will not be able to generate an approximate view of the room. Next, everything is simple - an empty area is scanned, if you need to cover a larger area, just move the smartphone camera to gradually cover the desired area. After that, you can go to the catalog, look for the desired product, and having chosen, the application will automatically show how the selected furniture will look in the room. The resulting model can be rotated, placing it however you want. You can create any desired angle of placement of the item in the space.

For normal use of this app, you will need to install the latest version of ARCore, Google's dedicated VR app.
