OruxMaps

OruxMaps is an Android program that is designed for travel and outdoor activities. It allows you to view maps of different types, create and save paths. It functions with external gadgets.

Supported maps

The program gives the opportunity to watch a huge number of map formats. The list includes:

• GeoTIFF and GeoPDF;
• Ozf2;
• Img garmin;
• Mapbox;
• Google maps and others.

The program can function as an online indicator, but there is also the ability to download maps to use them without internet.

Registration

It is recommended to create an account in the program, but it is not necessary. The presence of an account will give the opportunity to share your location with friends and upload paths to the servers.

Routes

The program allows you to create paths by specifying waypoints. Pictures, audio or videos can be attached to all of them. While traveling, the client can record the route and then save it. Made paths can be modified with the help of a special editor. There is not only export, but also import of paths in the form of KMZ, KML, CSV, TSX, FIT and others. The program can sound the road, acting as a navigator. Moreover, it is possible to correct notifications about deviation from the desired route or about proximity to a certain place. There is also additional data about altitude differences during the whole journey.

External devices

This program works with external GPS navigators, heart rate sensors, ANT+ device.
