Chrono Connect Mobile

Chrono Connect Mobile is a mobile application for Android phones. The program allows you to measure the energy and output velocity of bullets of pneumatic weapons. The calculations are suitable for rifles, automatic rifles, pistols and other weapons.

Velocity measurement

The program performs the function of measuring the velocity of the bullet at the exit from the barrel of the weapon, as well as its initial energy. To obtain this information, the application uses the built-in microphone of the cell phone. Due to this, changes in sound are determined over a small time period. Specifically, from the moment of pulling the trigger of the weapon to the collision of the projectile with the target. After that, the program with the help of a special algorithm analyzes the obtained data and calculates the necessary parameters.

Different types of weapons

The program is able to calculate information about the energy and velocity of projectiles from many types of weapons, including air rifles and pistols. However, the program is not able to take measurements from firearms. This is due to the high noise level when shooting from such weapons, as well as the low sensitivity of the phone's built-in microphone.

Shot counting

The next function of the app is to count the number of shots the user has fired at targets. This feature works when shooting at hard targets such as bottles and tin cans. When such objects are hit, the phone's microphone picks up a loud sound. The app then records the shot in a counter. The number of hits can be tracked in the statistics. In the free version of the program the number of recorded hits is limited to three. In the paid version of the program, the user also receives visual warnings about exceeding the power, visualization of statistics and much more.
