Chernobyl is a mobile utility for Android devices. The program acts as an interactive guide to the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. The application is an official source of information. Users have the opportunity to explore the Exclusion Zone in detail. There is access to a virtual tour with the use of augmented reality technologies.


Several sections are available to users. The first one offers detailed information about the Chernobyl disaster. This section uses reliable information from declassified KGB documents. Thanks to this, the user can learn the truth about the disaster, as well as find out what information is a myth or a fake. The second section offers a virtual tour of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. During the trip, users will be able to get a close-up look at key objects, including the sarcophagus covering the fourth unit of the nuclear power plant. The app allows for a 360-degree view and parallel listening to audio guides. A map of radioactive contamination is also available here. At the same time there is an opportunity to see the area of fallout in the year of the accident.
