AnkiDroid

AnkiDroid is a free Android utility designed to simplify the process of memorizing information that is new to the user. For this purpose, the mobile program provides access to manually generated cards. The well-known method of interval repetition is used. There is synchronization with the computer version of the utility.

The essence of the utility

The developers of the mobile program offer users to use the method of interval repetition of information. This method is well suited for memorizing various things. The functionality of the program will be especially useful for people who learn words from a foreign language, for example, Japanese or English. In the process of repeating information, the user will be able to transfer knowledge from short-term to long-term memory.

Card collection

The user can form the cards manually. For example, it is possible to make several hundred cards with foreign words. The mobile program also allows you to attach not only text, but also pictures, audio recordings and formulas to the cards. The cards are used to create decks divided by subject. If desired, the user can load decks created by developers or other people into the program. Their total number exceeds six thousand. Among them there are decks on the following topics: 4 thousand basic English words, mathematical theorems, category theory for programmers, and much more.

Options

In the settings of the mobile utility, the user can customize various gestures. It is also allowed to change the color design and choose between several fonts. The interface language is also selected here. In total, the program supports 27 languages.
