MPTool

MPTool is a Windows application that allows you to perform diagnostics and maintenance of inkjet printers. You can get information about the current ink level, read data from chips and write your own firmware.

Service mode

To use all the available features, you need to connect the external device to the PC beforehand, for this purpose a standard USB cord is used. Then it is necessary to switch the printer to the service mode (access to additional features). To do this, turn off the device, press the button with a triangle in a circle (usually signed as "Resume") and, without releasing it, turn it on.

Resetting the counters

The start window of the program displays basic information about the connected MFP. Up-to-date data about the ink level in all cartridges are present - visually and with the help of percentages. The Reset button allows you to quickly reset the current value of the counters - this option is relevant if the user refilled the module with purchased ink. There is a function of resetting the pampers counter. This is the name of a special container with an absorbent pad, where the system drains excess ink. Often the algorithm used in the printer too early begins to persistently report the need to replace the data block.

Memory management

There is a separate module for working with non-volatile memory, which is located in special chips. You can read and load new images. Files with BIN extension are used for this purpose.
