BootDiskUtility

BootDiskUtility application allows you to automatically generate a bootable USB disk with MAC OS X platform distribution. The popular Clover boot loader is used. The utility is portable and works correctly without installation.

Creating a bootable disk

The program does not require installation in the system, it is enough to download and extract a set of files to the desired directory, then run the file with the .exe extension. You also need to select and download a suitable macOS image and connect a flash drive beforehand. It is worth taking into account that in the process of work from the drive is deleted all the data, so if there are important files, they should be copied to another place. After completing the preparation, you need to run the program and connect the flash drive to a free USB port. If the OS offers to format the drive, you should cancel the operation. At the preparation stage, the program will form two partitions on the drive. The first one is used to store the Clover boot loader, and the second one will be used to load the image with the operating system. You should select the second partition and click the Restore Partiton button. A standard Explorer window will open and you will need to select the prepared image. Next, you need to confirm the selection and wait for the message about the completion of the recording.

Features

The interface is available in English only. The "Options" menu allows you to explicitly specify files to be excluded from recording. This can be used to deactivate the Clover loader. It is possible to quickly check for updates for the application - just click the Check Now button. The application will connect to an external developer server, check the available version and update the package if necessary.
