Vector Magic

Vector Magic is a Windows application that allows you to convert images into various formats. In particular, you can quickly convert a bitmap image into a vector image. You can preconfigure conversion parameters and specify the number of colors. The vector format has a number of advantages, including the ability to scale the picture in a significant range without loss of quality. The list of supported extensions includes all major extensions - TIFF, JPG, PNG and many others. It is possible to import content from the package Adobe Photoshop (a popular program for photo editing).

Conversion

To start working, you need to load the source files. This can be done via the familiar "Open" menu or simply by dragging them to the working area - they will be automatically displayed in the interface. Conversion can be performed in automatic mode, and the optimal parameters will be selected. To do this, activate the "Fully Automatic" option in the menu. Batch processing mode is provided - it is enough to load the required set of files. The time required for conversion depends on the number and total size of loaded files. In the process of work there is an opportunity to use the preview function, which allows you to immediately evaluate the result and make adjustments if necessary. It should be taken into account that the trial version is used, which has a number of limitations. Among other things, there is no possibility to save the result of work, only to evaluate the functionality.

Customization

To select the conversion parameters, you need to switch to the advanced or basic mode. There is an opportunity to manually enter parameters. For example, the panel allows you to specify the mixing algorithm and the final number of colors, adjust the transparency level of the layer. After the processing stage is completed, the new image can be saved as a PDF, SVG or EPS file.
