Pencil2D

The Pencil2D program is a convenient graphic editor for working with vector and raster graphics. It is possible to create animation.

Program description

All necessary functions for editing raster and vector graphics are available. A special wizard allows you to quickly create a two-dimensional animation. The left panel contains the usual tools - eraser, brush, area selection and so on. The lower section opens the available parameters for the selected tool (for example, line thickness). To work with animation, you should use the Timeline panel. The project is open source, which opens up a wide range of possibilities for customization and adding your own functionality. The main interface is also flexibly customizable, allowing the user to form the desired set of options and tools.

Functions and features

In the editing process you can do filling, add simple shapes from the set, draw lines. You can use the eraser to remove unnecessary elements. There are additional effects for blurring an arbitrary area. The right panel provides an opportunity to work with the color palette. The mode of importing external content is supported. You can add audio, short clips, animation. A convenient timeline is used to work with animation. It is possible to fully work with layers, and each layer uses its own scale. This allows you to independently animate different objects and create complex scenes.
