CodeVisionAVR

CodeVisionAVR is a Windows program that contains a set of tools for developers. The development environment allows you to create software for microcontrollers. Only Atmel AVR series chips are supported. All necessary modules are integrated. There is an assembler compiler, a terminal and a convenient code editor with syntax highlighting mode and other useful functions. There is a built-in help section that describes all interface elements, peculiarities of working with code, examples of ready programs, as well as recommendations on working with external devices.

Development

You can open an existing project or start working on a new one. Several simple example programs are available to familiarize yourself with the capabilities of the platform and start your own project. The user can create their own unique functions and classes. Automatic syntax checking is built in, detailed information about errors is displayed, which speeds up their search and elimination. You can work with several projects - tabs are used for this purpose. The project has a standard tree structure, but there are no difficulties with navigation.

Programming

A standard module for working with the programmer is built in, you can use different modules, for example, AVRDUDE PROG. At the stage of preparation for loading the typed code into the microcontroller, the project must be checked and saved with the required extension. In this case BIN, HEX or ROM formats are supported. By default a trial version of the program is installed, some options are blocked. Also some libraries are missing. To access all features, you need to select a tariff and pay for a license.
