CLIPS

CLIPS is a convenient development environment for Windows. All necessary tools are available to work with code, compile and build a project. Syntax highlighting, autocompletion, error marking are provided. It is possible to add comments. The package includes a specialized programming language COOL, oriented on writing expert systems.

Development

The key idea of the platform lies in the non-standard representation of commands - they look like a sequence of conditions. This distinguishes the program from other popular programming languages, in which execution is based on a strictly prescribed algorithm. Two types of facts are used in the platform - ordered and template facts. They are the basis for logical conclusions. The programmer can create new facts and load them into the workspace. It is also necessary to add rules for processing information and a block of actions that will be performed when a trigger is triggered.

Code editor

After starting the program, you can create a new project or import code from another file. CLP, TXT, BAT and BIN are supported. The project will be automatically loaded into the active code editor for further work. It is possible to change letter size, style and other parameters of the workspace. Text search and replacement function is supported. During compilation, the program can detect errors and display information describing the source and place of occurrence. This greatly simplifies their elimination and reduces the total time of work on the project.
