Description

RemoteScan is a Windows application that allows you to quickly set up network scanner sharing. This allows you to interact with the device from any PC connected to the network. It is possible to select the final file format and compression ratio at the scanning stage. Image capture devices are supported, as well as all types of scanners that support WIA and TWAIN (most modern devices support these technologies).

Customization

After installation, the application icon will be displayed in the notification area. The main work is done through this component. First of all, you need to call the context menu of the icon and select the device for which you want to configure the shared access. The application can perform integration with virtual desktop networks - VMware, Citrix and others. Various types of equipment are supported, including MFPs, check scanners, digital X-ray machines. It is possible to organize access differentiation to the network node. For this purpose, a password is used. To reduce the load on the local network, you can additionally configure the compression mode of digital documents.

Scanning

To access scanning, you must first specify the port and IP of the server that is sharing the scan. Depending on the device, access to a specific set of settings is provided. These can be color depth, resolution, final file format and other parameters. Integration with various scanning programs is supported.
