EAGLE

EAGLE is a Windows application for creating electrical circuits and printed circuit boards. It is oriented on radio amateurs and all those who are connected with electronics. A huge database of radio components and modules is built in. It is possible to export your own files in Gerber format, which allows you to significantly expand the capabilities of the program.

Working with schematics

After launching the application, you can create a new project or open a file with a previously created scheme. Then it is necessary to select the necessary components in the library, transfer them to the working area, select the optimal placement and customize connections, forming the desired scheme. The built-in schematic editor has tools to fully test the performance of the current scheme. For this purpose, the popular SPICE modeling system is used, which has already proved its effectiveness. It is possible to create your own modules and save them to a catalog. This is useful if similar nodes are often used in projects. At any stage of work there is an opportunity to check the scheme for errors. This allows you to automatically identify all defects and correct them before sending the scheme to work.

Printed circuit boards

The application allows you to design layouts and multilayer PCBs for complex devices. The free version of the program has certain restrictions on the maximum number of layers and board dimensions. There is a module for working with 3D models. You can create your own design rules. There is a built-in help section that facilitates the process of mastering the program.
