BackTrack

BackTrack is a Windows application that allows you to perform comprehensive security audits of wireless networks of varying levels of complexity. It is implemented as a set of individual tools - there are more than 300 of them in the set. It allows you to check various security aspects, for example, the possibility of password brute force, protocols used. You can check different types of nodes - servers, Internet sites, ordinary routers and more.

Launch

The program is a full-fledged distribution based on Linux. It is distributed as an ISO image, which must be written to a suitable storage device, such as a USB disk or optical disk. You can use any application for creating boot disks for this purpose (simple copying is not enough).

Testing

The main operations are performed through the built-in command line. This allows access to various tools, including Ettercap, Nmap, Ophcrack and others. The program allows you to find vulnerabilities in network devices and use various schemes for password mining. There is a built-in scanner for intercepting and analyzing traffic. There is a packet spoofing mode that allows you to initiate complex attacks on network infrastructure. After all testing stages are completed, a detailed report describing the resistance to external attacks is generated. The log can be uploaded to a file for further study.

Support

Currently, the company has officially stopped supporting the project. Updates are not released yet.
