Govorilka

Govorilka is a Windows program for voicing electronic literature and other text materials. For this purpose, the utility has a human speech synthesizer. Users can manually adjust various voicing parameters, including the speed of pronunciation of words and volume.

Text voicing

The first thing a person needs to do is to load text into the program. To do this, it is enough to enter the exact path to the document with the extension supported by the utility. The program is able to work with such formats as DOC, HTML, TXT and RTF. It is worth noting that the program has a limit on the size of the text document. The maximum limit is two gigabytes. However, it is highly unlikely that the user will encounter such a limitation during normal use of the utility. After adding a file, the user will be offered to customize the voice for voicing. The utility allows you to choose between female and male voices. It is also possible to change the timbre, reading speed, volume and a number of other parameters. To adjust them, sliders are used. If desired, a person can customize the display of the voiced text on the screen. In this case, the computer program is able to highlight the color of the segment that is pronounced by the synthesizer at the moment. In addition, the user is allowed to save the final version of the voice in one of two formats. Namely WAV or MP3.

Pronunciation

A special feature of the program is the ability to customize the pronunciation of various phrases and words in detail. For this purpose, the user has access to a toolkit for developing dictionaries. In them you can add various abbreviations, word abbreviations and so on.
