Corel Painter Essentials

Corel Painter Essentials is a Windows application that allows you to create digital drawings and sketches. An extensive set of tools is available that mimic real ones - brushes, pencils, markers and so on. Beginning artists can create paintings by imitating a particular drawing technique.

Drawing

When creating a new project, it is necessary to pre-specify the desired size of the canvas. All the basic elements for drawing are located on the panel on the left side of the window, to activate it is enough to click on the icon. There is also a standard palette for color selection. There is a color mixing mode, which adds realism to the new picture. For the selected tool opens its own set of settings. It can be thickness, pressure force, style and so on. There is a function to select areas to cut, copy or add the desired effect. You can change the texture or create a blur effect for a specific area. There are built-in filters to create special effects. Contrast, brightness, and other parameters can be adjusted separately.

Transforming images

Another interesting feature is converting a normal photo into pictures with a certain style. This mode uses its own technology based on artificial intelligence. You need to upload the original image and select a drawing style from the available set. The resulting drawing can be further edited or saved as a graphic file.
