Ophcrack is a special tool to crack the password set for authorization in the Windows operating system. To crack it, the security system is bypassed through an OC vulnerability. Functioning principle

Some users protect their desktops and laptops with a password. This prevents third parties from accessing the information on the protected device. However, this utility provides an opportunity to select a security code, despite the fact that OC does not store user passwords in the public domain. At the same time, if the user has set a long password with the use of special characters and different registers, the application will have to spend a considerable amount of time finding the code.

Cracking process

To use the utility, a person needs to create a virtual image with the program files and save it on an external storage device, for example, a flash drive or a disk. After that, it is necessary to connect the external device to a laptop or desktop computer. The next step is to load the utility via BIOS. Then it remains to reboot the PC and wait for the completion of the hack.
