FlightGear

FlightGear is a Windows application that is a flight simulator. More than 500 aircrafts of different types are available in the catalog. Network and multiplayer modes are provided. OpenGL library (provides graphics output) is required for correct operation.

Modeling system

The game is based on information about real locations in different countries, using real cartographic data obtained by aerial photography. During the flight, users can view local landscapes, realistic mountains and other objects. Real maps of some of the world's airports are also used. The application allows you to simulate real flights, many details are taken into account, including the movement of the moon and sun in a particular location. Realistic animation is used, control instruments are recreated. It is possible to monitor sensor readings, receive messages about errors in the aircraft systems and much more. This allows you to create a realistic atmosphere of flight.

Flights

After logging into the simulator, users can go to the catalog and download a new aircraft model, the corresponding set of files will be downloaded from the official website. For each model there is a separate page with a detailed description, control features and characteristics. Then you can select the season, departure airport, time of day and even weather conditions. In the settings, you can select the optimal graphics parameters, which allows you to ensure a smooth flight without additional load on the PC hardware.
